Local websites
Referral Exchange is a free online platform that connects home buyers and sellers with local real estate agents who best match their individual needs. The network includes only top-performing agents from leading brokerages across the United States, making Referral Exchange one of the most reliable and trusted services in the industry. By combining sophisticated matching algorithms, advanced data science, and outstanding customer support, the platform ensures that both clients and agents experience a seamless, transparent, and efficient process.
QFlux was invited to assist with real estate website development, focusing on creating a mobile-first landing page that would elevate the user experience and make it easier for real estate professionals to connect with clients. The goal was to help Referral Exchange optimize the way agents handle referrals, resulting in higher engagement, faster response times, and ultimately, more successful deals closed.
In the real estate industry, where most buyers and sellers start their journey online, it is essential for service providers to offer efficient and intuitive digital solutions. Referral Exchange recognized this trend and wanted to improve the communication flow between two key user groups — real estate professionals and their clients. Agents already received referral notifications through text messages and emails, but the company wanted to simplify the process, enabling agents to respond faster and manage each referral more efficiently while maintaining a professional, modern online presence.
To address this challenge, QFlux was tasked with designing a clear and intuitive interface that allowed agents to access all necessary information at a glance and immediately contact potential clients without unnecessary steps. Since most notifications were opened on mobile devices, the entire experience needed to be built from a mobile-first perspective. This approach ensured optimal readability, usability, and functionality across all screen sizes, helping agents make quick, informed decisions in real time.
Beyond improving usability, the Referral Exchange team also wanted to streamline how they collected feedback on referral progress. Tracking agent performance was vital for maintaining strong partnerships and ensuring that referrals were handled effectively. QFlux introduced a user-friendly feedback mechanism that allowed agents to report their progress quickly, helping the platform better understand client-agent interactions and strengthen ongoing relationships.
The collaboration started with a series of meetings where every detail was discussed in depth. Referral Exchange provided initial wireframes and design specifications, and QFlux worked within the company’s style guidelines to maintain brand consistency across all channels. After analyzing the materials, our team refined the structure and interaction patterns to create a clear direction for the redesign.
We developed several user flows to define all touchpoints and ensure seamless interaction between the interface elements. The existing landing page was cluttered with too many content blocks, which made it difficult to navigate on smaller mobile screens. To solve this, QFlux reorganized the layout using visual hierarchy principles. We placed the most important content at the top, highlighted essential data, and guided users naturally toward the main CTA block, increasing both clarity and conversion.
To make the seller’s contact information stand out without overwhelming the interface, we used carefully balanced typography and color contrast. Bold fonts and accent colors highlighted key details such as the seller’s name, property price, and contact information, while more neutral tones were used for secondary data. This approach ensured that critical information was instantly recognizable, easy to read, and visually consistent with the rest of the design.
For the call-to-action area, QFlux prioritized user intent. The interface emphasized direct calling as the most effective action, while texting and emailing were presented as secondary options. To draw attention, the “Call” button was highlighted with a bright color that complemented the page’s visual style, ensuring it was immediately noticeable without disrupting the overall design flow.
Additionally, we designed an alternate user flow for cases when agents chose to reject a referral. This process included a simple form with predefined response options, allowing agents to explain their decision quickly and efficiently. This new functionality provided Referral Exchange with more valuable insights into user behavior and decision-making, improving their ability to optimize internal processes.
By the end of the project, QFlux delivered a clean, visually balanced, and highly functional mobile-first experience that made managing referrals faster and easier for agents. The redesigned landing page streamlined communication, organized information clearly, and reduced friction in the referral process. As a result, Referral Exchange improved response times, increased engagement, and strengthened the connection between real estate professionals and their clients, helping both sides close deals more efficiently and confidently.
