Jaktar is synonymous with unique, high-quality motorboats, crafted by a team of like-minded experts. Their exceptional design aesthetic perfectly complements the rugged beauty of Scandinavian nature. QFlux proudly designed and developed Jaktar’s new website, a digital reflection of the boats’ unparalleled beauty and distinction.
Manufactured in Finland, Jaktar boats are built with a focus on premium materials and a cozy, inviting interior, offering a fresh perspective on spending quality time with loved ones.
In early 2021, Jaktar partnered with QFlux to develop a new branding identity and a one-page website. The initial goal was to showcase the innovative design features of the forthcoming J-30 and J-40 series, planned for production in the subsequent year.
With clear design goals and production-ready 3D renders, QFlux’s task was to establish a cohesive corporate identity. Drawing inspiration from minimalist Nordic design, we created a distinctive logo easily recognizable on hulls, stays, and all promotional materials. The client emphasized the importance of simple, yet strong fonts and colors, ensuring the new branding aligned flawlessly with the real-world aesthetic of coastal sailing.
Collaborating with a Swedish agency managing brand promotion and social media strategy, QFlux helped conceptualize a new logo that embodies the idea: “Engineered for Exploration.” This concept translates flexibly across various formats and colors.
The new desaturated color palette reflects the natural marine environment, punctuated by a flash of safety orange, inspired by life vests and buoys, to add visual impact.
The website’s design was driven by the new brand identity, mood boards, and concepts, utilizing extensive digital ideation. QFlux focused on merging efficient UX (User Experience) with a delightful visual design that seamlessly integrated Jaktar’s new identity. We incorporated lines and curves that echo the boat’s shape, reinforcing the brand’s visual language. Smooth on-scroll animations were introduced to evoke the atmosphere of the sea and the movement of waves.
The website features a minimalistic layout structure, enhanced by subtle micro-animations and compelling video content, all working to underscore Jaktar’s exclusive approach to boat design and manufacturing. A sophisticated dark-themed color scheme lends an authentic, modern, and premium feel to the entire digital experience.
