Flexmetrics is a mobile-friendly web application built for Shopify store owners, offering effortless performance analytics across one or multiple stores. The platform gives users a deep look into their business metrics from sales volumes and advertising costs to influencer spending, profits, shipping methods, and more.
In today’s highly competitive eCommerce market, standing out is essential. At Qflux, we help businesses gain that edge through custom web design and development, and Flexmetrics was no exception. What differentiates this app from others in the space is its leaderboard feature. A powerful tool that allows merchants to see how they rank against others, celebrate their success, or address weak spots to improve performance. This functionality was one of the client’s top priorities.
Because the app needed to display extensive blocks of financial data, another major challenge was designing a clear and structured information architecture. Our goal was to make the analytics digestible and actionable while still giving users the ability to calculate profit, track results across multiple stores, and dive into detailed reports. To ensure accessibility, the app was designed for both desktop and mobile with light and dark themes available. Alongside the application, we also created a branded landing page that introduced the new Flexmetrics identity, described its core functionality, and outlined pricing to attract new users.
The project began with discovery sessions to define requirements, which we then mapped against competitor products to analyze the niche and target audience. This research helped us identify market gaps and opportunities. The client worked closely with our design team, providing clickable prototypes that outlined their desired functionality. Once the priorities were set, we crafted user stories and built wireframes to structure the application’s features and flow. This strong collaboration and clear communication laid the groundwork for both the interface and the user experience.
From there, Qflux developed the visual identity and branding. The Flexmetrics logo was designed to reflect both strength and performance: a raised fist symbolizing achievement combined with a chart graphic to represent analytics. The color palette paired a bold golden yellow inspired by the word “Flex” with dark blue and purple accents, ensuring a professional yet dynamic look across light and dark themes. The full design system was adapted seamlessly for mobile devices to guarantee usability across all formats.
To enhance onboarding, we implemented a transparent and user-friendly flow that guided new users step by step. We also designed a visually appealing landing page with custom illustrations, highlighting the app’s features and competitive advantages.
Today, Flexmetrics is available in the Shopify App Store, fully integrated with Shopify accounts and monetized through subscription. It helps store owners not only track their own performance but also benchmark against others, empowering them to optimize strategies and grow their businesses.
